wp1Dr. Stuart Allen is a University Professor of Organizational Leadership at Robert Morris University (Pittsburgh), as well as a researcher and consultant. Previously he was an Associate Professor at the University of La Verne (Los Angeles) and CEO of the Center for Applied Leadership Excellence (Johannesburg, South Africa). Stuart worked as an industrial-organizational psychologist in South Africa before moving to the United States to work as in academia.

His research is featured in numerous journals including the Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Management Education, Business & Society, Journal of Management Inquiry, Nonprofit Management and Leadership, the Family Journal, South Africa Journal of Industrial Psychology, Management Today, International Journal of Organizational Analysis, Management Teaching Review, International Journal of Critical Infrastructure Protection, International Journal of Human Resource Development and Management, Journal of Leadership Studies, Journal of Management Spirituality and Religion, Journal of Management Development, and International Journal of Management Education. Stuart’s PhDs were completed at Regent University and Stellenbosch Business School, while he completed his Masters in Industrial-Organizational Psychology at the University of Witwatersrand.

Research and teaching interests: Leadership, leadership development, teaching with technology, doctoral pedagogy, post-traumatic stress in the workplace, online learning, servant and transformational leadership, diversity and inclusion, religion and spirituality in the workplace, human resource management, environmental sustainability, organizational development, and work-life balance.
